I am a writer, curator and teacher. I was born in London and am currently living in Oxford and near the Aveyron in southern France. I am Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Art Theory at Oxford Brookes University. My teaching posts have included Bauhaus University, Weimar; Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam; Open University and Dartington College of Arts.

My first novel, Almodis: The Peaceweaver was published in 2011 by Impress Books. I am working on a second novel set in 10th century France and Norway. See http://traceywarrfiction.wordpress.com for further details on my fiction.

I have developed a mode of writing with contemporary artists as opposed to about them. See RIVER RUNSMOSCOW BLOG and OUTLANDIA for details on my current art projects. See Category: WRITING for a selection of my published and unpublished texts.

See the CV link on the right of this page for my detailed Curriculum Vitae.

    Hi Tracey,
I met you and bought your book at the Villefranche library do last month. Have just finished Almodis: The Peaceweaver and would like to tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very interesting and evocative. I can see why you chose Almodis to be your subject matter. Her story is fantastic enough to be purely fiction! I shall look forward to the next book. Many thanks,
    Tracy
