Outlandia is a artists’ treehouse studio in Glen Nevis, imagined by artists London Fieldworks and designed by Malcolm Fraser Architects. I am an Associate Curator for the project. Robert Macfarlane is the project Patron. Outlandia is supported by an advisory group of artists and curators based in Fort William.
Outlandia was launched in 2010 with a project by artist Adam Dant (organised in collaboration with Arts Catalyst and HICA). Other artists and writers in residence have included myself, Alec Finlay & Ken Cockburn, Anna Keleher, Bram Arnold and Chris Short. There is a call for expressions of interest on the Outlandia website.
